Load up FF8, launch it, and load whatever save you desire. Load up Cheat Engine. You can skip through the tutorial, as we won't be using any of that at the moment. In the address bar of Cheat Engine (the bottom section), you should see five columns: Active, Description, Address, Type, and Value. We are focusing on the Value section. All of the values should be 0. In the row of Slot # ID, you can enter the ID of the item that you want, based on the text document that I've given you. Enter the ID number into the value section of the row, by double-clicking on the 0. For example, if I wanted a Star Fragment in slot 1 of my inventory, I would enter 67 for the value of Slot 1 Item ID. And of course, you have to enter a quantity to the slot.
So, if I wanted 3 Star Fragments for Selphie's Strange Vision, I'd enter 67 for the Slot 1 Item ID value, and then I'd enter 3 for the Slot 1 Quantity. And boom, click on FF8 again, and I suddenly have 3 Star Fragments in my inventory!:D Obviously just move the items if you want to keep repeating the process for other items.
