Asus Direct Console Windows 7

Asus Direct Console Windows 7 7,1/10 9020 reviews

How can the answer be improved? You're in the wrong section of this forum, you might have better luck in the older g series section. Anyway I've disabled the lights completely on a G71g through linux. Though in windows even asus direct console 2.0 won't allow you to turn off the leds completely.

The original strips of lights that run down the cover don't flash anymore. I don;t know what happened to the program but it stopped working, I am trying to sell this ASUS G71 gx 104 notebook computer. If the lights are working it will make it an easy sell. But,i don;t know what program controlled those lights. They were adjustable as to the flashing adn hue, I thought it was direct console 2.0.

But I don;t really know. Can anyone help me??? Thanking you in advance.

Tell me more book. Might find some help here.

I got my DC working fine on my G50VT-X5, I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64bit. I dl'ed all the latest ATK drivers from Asus' site and I found a Direct Console 2.0.9 version made for Windows 7 32/64bit installer.

It's on Asus' driver page, just do a search for 'direct console' and you'll find it. I also installed: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Since I kept getting this Visual C++ error message. 32bit 64bit Ok to make it simple, install the ATK drivers first. Get all of them off the Asus site latest version for your model. Install the MS Visual C++ 2008 SP1, there's a 32bit and 64bit installer based on whatever Win7 OS your using. Then reinstall the Direct Console 2.09 version for Windows 7 32/64bit, do a search on the Asus support driver for 'direct cosole' you'll find the link.
